Time for looking back at some sparkling days at the HUB!
A few days ago we had the final event of our research project „MY LIFE – MY STYLE – MY FUTURE: Sustainable Lifestyles and adolescent life realities“ at the HUB Vienna. On the basis of their own research and data, the young researchers we were working with during the last months gave insights into juvenile lifestyles and the relevance of sustainability for adolescent life realities. They showed in which areas of practice teenagers are willing to take responsibility for society and environment and what new symbols, images, and media are needed in sustainability communication to address teenagers. We had scientific presentations, a slide show, an unconventional presentation of creative outcomes from workshops on sustainable design and social media and a sparkling catwalk with self-designed recycling fashion.
In the first days of May our project team from the Austrian Institute for Sustainable Development (ÖIN) „invaded“ the HUB space with 40 pupils from two Viennese schools. They learned how to communicate their social and ecological concerns in workshops on sustainable design (leaded by Angie Rattay and Uli Einweg) and social media (leaded by Hannes Offenbacher and Luca Hammer).
We wanna share some impressions of our great days at the HUB with you, enjoy!
Best,
Anja Christanell, Irma Pelikan, Michi Leitner and Julia Krenmayr
