Impact Hub Vienna – Austria’s pioneer in social entrepreneurship and impact ventures has now created a third level in Lindengasse and offers its members more than 1600m2 of space for innovation, growth, and networking.

Like no other in Austria, Impact Hub Vienna supports the networking and promotion of social business and impact ventures. It was founded back in 2010 with 400m2 of space and added a second floor with additional 800m2 in 2015. Now the third floor of the house in Lindengasse can now be rented and be used. In total, over 1600m2 are now available to over 500 members.

Managing Director Matthias Reisinger commented, “We are very pleased about our growth and the new opportunities for existing and future members of the Impact Hub Vienna, but we are even more pleased that the scene of impact ventures and social business in Austria is growing strong. The high demand for support and community has also motivated us to develop this third level.”

A new concept for the third floor

However, the third level not only means more space in itself, but also a completely new spatial concept. Now, larger units can be rented in addition to smaller office space meaning startups can continue to be supported later in their growth cycle. Impact Hub is more than just a venue, it is a place for exchange, creation and innovation and is the point of contact for EPOs and adult startups. With the new level, the possibilities for members are growing:

“We want to offer our members, even after their first phase of growth, opportunities to remain active in their work as part of the Impact Hub community,” says Matthias Reisinger about the new opportunities.

New tenants on the third floor

The new concept has already attracted the first startups and entrepreneurs. Among the new tenants is the founder 3rd-floor-766x395 (1)of Whatchado, Ali Mahlodji, the robot startup Humanizing Technologies,  and the emerging companies WisR and Mosaik. The flexible use of the third level leaves many possibilities and therefore attracts a variety of different companies. This is done intentionally to promote the exchange among the various members of the hub. Especially in the areas of poverty alleviation, health care, migration and integration, clean drinking water and renewable energies, more and more young companies are looking for support from the hub.

Impact Hub Vienna looks forward toward an exciting future

Since opening in 2018, Impact Hub Vienna has always been driven by the will to support startups and young entrepreneurs in their mission to find innovative solutions to major societal problems through entrepreneurial action. As the space and center of exchange and business growth, Impact Hub is unique and with its new third level, is well positioned to support impact ventures beyond their idea stage, promote them, and integrate them into the community.

The Impact Hub Vienna sees itself as an incubation and acceleration ecosystem for impact ventures and social business. In 2015, Forbes magazine ranked the Impact Hub Vienna among the top 20 most active startup accelerators in the world. In total, the Hub has incubated and developed more than 300 companies since 2012 and today has more than 500 members.
