Climate Fresk for Impact Hub & Glacier Community [INTERNAL]

About this event

No time to read the UN-backed and Nobel Peace Prize award-winning IPCC reports? No worries, we’ve got your back. The Climate Fresk workshop breaks down the key facts of climate science and summarises them on 42 cards. And besides boosting your climate skills, the IPCC you’d read alone. The Fresk, you do together. A problem shared is a problem halved, right?

Our tool is a trigger for transformation and empowers participants to become informed and engaged advocates for a sustainable future.

Why you can’t resist the Fresk – in a nutshell:

  • Team building, networking and good vibes
  • The right equipment: having the right facts up your sleeve, you can talk about the issue easier + inspire others
  • Open Source: you can train to use the tool yourself
  • Community: collaborate with the Impact Hub & Glacier Community

A sneak peek – That’s how the game works:

The workshop is based on a 42-card game. Each card represents an element, a cause or a consequence of climate change. As a team, guided by your facilitator, you are to find the cause-effect relationship between the different components of climate change. Collective intelligence will get you from one deck of cards to the next!

👉 On the agenda:

  • A very brief history of The Climate Fresk (5min)
  • Icebreaker (10 min)
  • Building the Climate Fresk (90 min)
  • Letting it sink (15 min)
  • Sharing and solution-oriented discussion (60 min)

Duration: (absolutely worthwhile) three hours. And we wrap up with cold beer and hot pizza!

The Climate Fresk Movement:

Feeling inspired and empowered, many participants become facilitators themselves and that’s how a worldwide community emerged. Today, we have local Climate Fresk Hubs in more than 50 countries and host the workshop in over 30 languages.

The Vienna-based offspring is called: Das Klima Puzzle.
