Empathy and Storytelling Workshop meets the Weekender

Do you want to learn how to uncover someone’s else’s story in a heartfelt and meaningful way? EPIX is doing a 3 months tour around Europe visiting over 15 Impact Hubs to deliver its Empathy and Storytelling workshop.

Join us for a fun afternoon full of life stories stories as part of the Weekender.
This 1 hour workshop promotes empathy as a skill through storytelling and fosters dialogue. It teaches the concept and uses of empathy and creates a deeper dialogue between the participants and further with the whole group.
Empathy is the capacity to place oneself in someone else’s shoes. It’s about listening and creating a genuine interest in other people. Empathy plays an important role in leadership, in decision-making and at influencing people. Being able to understand the perspective of others is crucial to creating lasting and meaningful connections.
Storytelling is all about sharing. It’s about creating a conversation and convincing. By being empathetic during the interview, a great story is already half-written. Combining the writing in first person (i.e. testimonies), a close knit is created between the participants and readers of the stories.
EPIX started in Venezuela amidst a terrible national crisis to reconnect Venezuelans with their culture and identity by using photography, testimonies and design. With over 200 stories uncovered, at wwww.epix.com.ve thousands read the stories monthly and we has had exhibitions around the world. We are now expanding abroad and creating stories on young people working towards the Global Goals in Europe.
