HubClub: International Development

International Development Finance

Financing innovation for international development

We invite you to join the second edition of the Development Hub Club to share knowledge, raise questions, discuss lessons learnt and connect around the emerging issues in social entrepreneurship and international development finance.
In 2015, the cost of reaching the Sustainable Development goals was estimated at over $100 billion per year (Citi Foundation). To meet this challenge, novel financing tools are emerging. Social Impact Bonds, Development Impact Bonds and results-oriented finance are just some of the buzzwords that are currently redefining access to finance for development projects. At the same time, government-led initiatives such as USAID’s Development Innovation Ventures use venture capital approaches to fund innovative enterprises and projects around the world.
The evening will feature interventions from our special guests Peter Scheuch, Founder & Managing Director of Ennovent, and Nikolaus Hutter, co-Founder of the Investment Ready Program. Among our guests we will also welcome the winners of the Austrian Development Agency Social Entrepreneurship Challenge.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Impact Hub Vienna on the 29th on November @ 18:00, for a fruitful and engaging discussion!
