This yoga session is brought to you by…. anne|marie P’art & VENUSfrequency – pop|culture & yoga (www.venusfrequency.com)
About Annemarie: I started “doing” yoga in the Jivamukti tradition back when living in NYC’s East Village about 20 years ago during my invincible years. A devastating skydiving accident in 2003 had me experience a broken spine, spinal surgery, serious nerve damage to inner organs and broken leg bones and dramatically but mindfully turned my connection to body, spirit and community around. Influenced by my own body’s incredible & ongoing story of healing through yoga, my teachers, life in general, community and world travels, I aim to bring a unique sense of gentle empowerment and healing to each of my classes. Through intention, meditation, pranayama and asana my goal is to have my students leave each class feeling refreshed, strengthened and renewed. I teach in a way that provokes healing, thought and meaning, letting the student experience their bodies, their mind, breath and the power of community. My classes are always physically challenging, delivered in English or German, with sanskrit woven through, they include healing visualizations and are underlined by carefully curated wisdoms as well as world contemporary tunes by venusfrequency, my popculture and yogic lifestyle, online and radio platform. Classes include demonstrations as well as hands on assists. I aim to live a yogic lifestyle and lead my classes in a way that reflects that choice.
