BARRIER FREE INSTALLATIONS
-
Barrier-free access to the building is provided through the main entrance in the form of a metal ramp and a 95 cm wide sensor-activated glass sliding door with visual markings.
-
Access to the first and third floors of the building is through a lift located in the courtyard. The doors of the lift and of the floors themselves are not automatic but must be pulled/pushed, and are therefore not barrier-free. The lift is also too small, and the doors do not open with a parallel slide but inwards.
-
The ground floor of Impact Hub is mostly barrier free, as there are no pinch points which may be a problem for wheelchair users. Upon entering the Aquarium meeting room there is a small (3 cm) height difference which must be surpassed via a short ramp, making it barrier-free for wheelchairs. A similar height difference is found upon entering the Pod meeting room, but there are no ramps provided there as the room is anyway too small to be wheelchair accessible.
-
There is a wheelchair adapted toilet on the ground floor next to the Event room, but none in the first or third floor spaces. The ground floor accessible toilet measures 195 by 173 cm, and the door is 88 cm wide. The door closes automatically, but is still operated by a handle.
-
The kitchen surfaces on all floors are too tall for wheelchair users.
-
The reception desk has two levels and has been adapted for wheelchair users on the lower level (74 cm tall).
-
There are no tactile pavement systems in the building.
-
There are no induction loop systems in place.
-
The Lounge meeting room can only be reached through stairs and is therefore not wheelchair accessible. There is only one private office which is wheelchair accessible, located on the ground floor.
